Thank you, Bruce for the anthropological based review of Bali. I sent it to my friend who travels Southeast Asia, but has yet to have done Indonesia. He says he will visit me when i am there this fall. That last video says that the road going to Buleleng has some problems. Even though Google maps says it is only a 2 hr drive from Denpasar, looks like realtime reporting says otherwise. So we will watch out for bigholes in the road ? near .? i have to watch that again, and have the map open at the same time. oh yea, more homework. Cheers.
Thanks. Lawrence. The story about the closure for trucks and large buses of the west coast road from Gilimanuk to Denpasar has created a chaotic traffic situation starting from the north and moving down to Denpasar. According to the last timeline that was in the press, it may take as long as a month to repair the road. Normally the Singaraja-"Bedugal- Denpasar road takes anywhere from 2 1/2 to 4 hours depending on ceremonies, etc. Of course, this is the high season so the roads have a lot of tourists and tour buses from Java. As long as you're not in a hurry to get somewhere, driving that road is safe. Take care
A most enjoyable read, Bruce. Many thanks!
Thanks, David. Appreciated as always.
